A vessel is a container to hold something- anything. I presented this idea to my ceramics students and told them to be creative and make vessels using only the pinch pot method of constructing. Some of them took the assignment to new levels. Now we have not glazed or finished our pieces yet but they did survive the bisque fire and here is a picture of two of the more interesting ones.
The dragon holds precious things (her cell phone) ha.
And the chain well it can hold ?...She swears it is not for her boyfriend but I am not sure I believe her. Each link of the chain is free but connected to the other one. I am not sure how I we are going to Glaze it yet but we will see.
